You drop enough hints about the past that I can tell there's a plan and some mentions of the future. However I can also tell it will be pretty long on which case pantsing (improv) is the easier way to go.

Do you have the whole story plotted or are you making it up as you go?
I have all the major character arcs and ending planned. Everything else is improv. What was your impression?
