Greetings to everyone! This is an update for the future of the substack. I’ll spare you the intro get right down to details. I need a way to raise funds for my writing, and I need to start generating cash to help with my living situation. I’ve tinkered with multiple ways of creating revenue, but it seems monetizing this substack is the best way to go.
What does this mean going forward? Free subscribers will continue to enjoy access to new chapters of The Domes of Calrathia and Gigaheroes. I have no plans to lock articles or reviews behind paywalls either. However, paying subscribers will have access to an exclusive short story I will write every month.
So what are the people paying for? I’m handing the reigns of what gets written when to those most engaged with my work. Every month I’ll launch a poll for which project should receive the most attention. This will include future articles and potential book reviews. Upon request, I’ll do chapter commentaries for those interested in my thought process and writing style. Finally, I’m also going to post a downloadable pdf of The Matrioshka Divide to sweeten the deal. As I figure out how this monetization business works, I’m going to try to incorporate even more content for my paying subscribers.
I deeply appreciate everyone who has accompanied me on this writing business of mine, and I look forward to 2024. For those new to my substack, here is what’s on tap for the coming year:
Project 1
The Domes of Calrathia is a Sci-Fi/Fantasy mixture much in the way of Gene Wolfe. It is set in a post-apocalyptic, pre-historic civilization. The story follows the Astronomer Sirius as he embarks on a religious pilgrimage to the famed city of Calrathia, home of all knowledge.

Project 2
Gigaheroes is a RW take on corporate superheroes. The story is set in the ruins of America now reformed into the Democratic Union. After a brutal nuclear war, people mysteriously began developing super powers. The Abnormal Service Agency, a brutal regulatory body, is created to keep what’s left of the status quo. The story follows three perspectives as all hell breaks loose in City 57.

Project 3
My upcoming article will be on what Reactionary artists need to learn from Hollywood’s storytelling and how to use past subversive works as a roadmap for avoiding pitfalls in future works.
Thank you again for everyone who has supported me. I wouldn’t still be writing if it weren’t for you.
